Yá'át'ééh, welcome to the
Diné Summit Seekers
Diné Summit Seekers proudly participates in the annual All In Ice Fest in Ouray, Colorado — a festival dedicated to increasing equity, access, and diversity in the outdoors.
Through climbing, mentorship, and cultural activities, the program promotes leadership, confidence, cultural pride, and community connection.
The Experience
Climbing
Hands-On Learning

Participants experience ice climbing, avalanche awareness, and mountaineering education through guided clinics and outdoor leadership opportunities at All In Ice Fest.
For many, this is their first experience climbing and traveling in mountain environments which creates the perfect opportunity for confidence, growth, teamwork, and connection.
Leadership
Youth Empowerment

We cultivate leadership through mentorship, teamwork, and community experiences in the Ouray Ice Park.
From practicing communication with climbing partners, learning winter safety skills to hiking in snowy conditions and supporting one another on the ice, participants build confidence, responsibility, and leadership through hands-on experiences and team connection.
Connection
Community Building

Diné Summit Seekers is about more than climbing. Through winter storytelling, traditional food cooking, string games, shared meals, and evenings spent together after climbing, participants build community, cultural connection, and lasting friendships.
These shared experiences create opportunities for learning, support, laughter, and connection both on and off the ice.
Building Community Through Outdoor Access

Diné Summit Seekers helps create pathways for Navajo participants from communities across the Navajo Nation to experience outdoor leadership, climbing, mentorship, and cultural connection through the All In Ice Fest in Ouray, Colorado.
Since 2025, participants from 13 chapters have traveled together to build confidence, friendships, and representation in outdoor spaces.
